It started with a gift...

Mike Good has always been a race fan; why not give him a racing experience; a chance to feel the power, the speed, the rush... so a group of his friends presented him with the Richard Petty Driving Experience. He loved it, and its all history from there; Mike definitely caught the "racing" bug.

He ordered a car, bought a Ford motor (he's always been a Ford man) and set up shop at the Port of Sanford. Initially the guys in the shop helped fuel his passion by getting the "race shop" running. Mike Fritts was hired to round out Briar Racing and they haven't looked back since. Between the two "Mike's, Briar Racing is now housed in its own state-of-the art racing facility. Briar Racing is noted for having top running cars and definitely one of the teams to beat in Super Late Model Series racing.

Briar Racing has grown over a relatively short period of time from one man's dream of Asphalt Short Track Racing with Super Late Model Series cars to a bustling maintenance facility for chassis set-ups, fabrication and in-house maintenance for Mike's cars and other race aficionados.

Look for Mike Good or Mike Fritts at any of the local Florida tracks; New Smyrna, Lakeland, Orlando, Lake City, Ocala, Bradenton and Pensacola to name a few. They're having so much fun they're thinking of taking their show on the road, heading North to Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and the Carolina's... gentlemen, start your engines.
